Bio

Dr. Heidi Lung is an artist and educator committed to making art and the creative process a part of everyday life. She works as Lead Flight Director at the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis where she develops S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) programs that integrate the creative process and ARTS into science curriculum. Dr. Lung teaches art appreciation to undergraduates at Missouri Baptist University and Museum Education and Visitor Evaluation to graduate students at UMSL. Dr. Lung received her Ph.D. of Education in 2013 and was honored with both national and regional recognition for her national study focusing on the practice of art on a cart. Dr. Lung has worked to bring arts to her own community of Ferguson, MO by being a founding member of the Northern Arts Council. She has engaged the community in several public art projects including murals located at the Challenger Learning Center- St. Louis and the Old Ferguson West Community Garden. Dr. Lung also serves as Board Member of F.Y.I (Ferguson Youth Initiative) and is training to be a ninja.
