Missouri Jobs with Justice is a coalition of labor, student, community, and religious activists and organizations committed to protecting the basic human rights of men and women. Jobs with Justice addresses the root causes of poverty while working for an economic base that benefits the entire community. The group believes that the fate of labor unions and the communities in which their members live are tightly bound together; the more organized the greater St. Louis area and its workforce, the more powerful the pressure can be to bear on behalf of progressive community and labor issues. Jobs with Justice organized a “Bread & Roses” arts program that organizes artist-directed workshops for groups of area workers, and organizes an annual exhibition on a theme related to the grassroots campaigns underway among JwJ’s member organizations. The annual exhibition exhibits work in any medium, including visual arts, literature, and performing arts.
