Mark Albrecht is a local social entrepreneur, artist, poet and media communications student at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. He is very passionate and committed to having difficult conversations and fostering accountability around the intersections of race & class, education, human and civil rights, sexual identity, white privilege, equality & inclusion, media literacy/reform and a curiously hidden civil rights history in his very own St. Louis "front yard." Mark is in the process of launching a new non-profit, Community Engagement Resource named Project Engage Network looking to bridge the gaps between dialogue, information and action around important social issues in the STL Metro Area. He is a 2010 Community Arts Training Institute fellow of The Regional Arts Commission, a diversity & inclusion trainer for the Anti-Defamation League, Diversity Awareness Partnership and Building Life Foundations Nonviolence Center. He was recently chosen as an "emerging leader" for the JUST Lead! Program of Leadership for Social Change and is a performer with A Call To Conscience.
