The Circus Arts Foundation of Missouri (CAFM) is the parent non-profit organization of Circus Flora…St. Louis’ very own theater under a big-top tent. Circus Flora excels in the art of combining a traditional European circus with modern theater techniques creating a “magical theater in a sawdust ring”.
CAFM’s mission is to broaden and deepen the appreciation of the performing arts in the greater St. Louis community by producing and presenting innovative performances and educational programs through the use of classic circus skills.
Under the artistic direction of founder Ivor David Balding, Circus Flora has performed in St. Louis since 1987. In addition, the circus has been invited to perform in cities throughout the United States including the prestigious Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC to performances in Lincoln Center in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
