1969 – The Moon Landing

Pianist Peter Henderson and the Ilex Trio, with violinist Kristin Ahlstrom and cellist Anne Fagerburg,
commemorate the wonder and significance of the moon landing 50 years ago with lunar-themed
pieces such as Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque with its Clair de lune
movement, and a new composition by Peter Henderson written for this concert entitled Sun Valley:
Sunset, Moonrise, and Milky Way.
