2019 Rise Up Festival

Rise is producing a one-day free street festival to celebrate revitalization in St. Louis. This is the sixth year for the festival, scheduled for August 17, 2019, on Washington Avenue between 15th and 17th Streets. The event will kick-off at 2 PM and end at 11 PM. The festival will include live entertainment featuring regional and local musical acts. The festival will also include roving street entertainers and entertainment provided by local community organizations. We will also feature interactive mission-driven arts activities designed to raise awareness about the work Rise does in St. Louis, build community, and provide a creative outlet for people to express visions for their neighborhoods.

The festival will have an “Artists on the Rise” art show and competition and will showcase local artisan vendors at the “Rise Up Marketplace”. The Rise Up Festival embodies an aspect of community development utilizing the arts to help to build bridges between people, ideas, and places.
