Anoushka Shankar

Sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar is a singular figure in the Indian classical and
progressive world music scenes. She studied exclusively under her father and guru, the late
Ravi Shankar, and her dynamic musicality has earned her six Grammy nominations, and
taken her to prestigious concert venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall and the
Sydney Opera House to London’s Royal Festival Hall and France’s Palais des Beaux-Arts.
