Tom Hunt.’s “Artist Abroad” will feature paintings from Hunt’s recent trip to Europe with Nerinx Hall High School students. There’s an educational element to the trip for the students; but Hunt’s artwork happens in the hours while the young women are sleeping, shopping and otherwise engaged. Hunt teaches art at Nerinx and has taught art history on a European trip with students for several years. This year there were over 20 students on the trip.
Lynn Bozzay, owner of Grafica Fine Art, said that Hunt’s shows have always been fun to host. “Hunt is an expressionist painter – so his feelings go into his work – which means there are lots of stories to hear. Grafica hasn’t hosted a show tor Hunt since before the pandemic hit – and we are excited to have him and his new work in the gallery.”
The show will be on display through Friday, September 22. Grafica’s hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. Closed on Sunday & Monday.
