Artmaking for “#ThisIsMyFerguson” Exhibit

Good Shepherd Arts Center “artmaking” for the #ThisIsMyFerguson Exhibit: folding origami peace cranes, coloring or drawing post cards with messages from Ferguson to the World, making altered books and decorating small chalk boards for a “Lessons We Are Learning” installation. Anyone with a tie to Ferguson is encouraged to participate.
The world told Ferguson (and has continued to tell Ferguson) what it was and is. The events of 2014 happened, and they were tragic. However, the portrayal of this city only showed the bad and ugly, and failed to show any of the good.
Many local groups and individual citizens have worked hard to effect change. The #ThisIsMyFerguson exhibit is an opportunity for Ferguson to speak back to the world. #ThisIsMyFerguson is a city wide event in Ferguson, MO, consisting of art by individual artists and collaborative artworks by citizens of Ferguson, Dellwood and Jennings.
