Set in the city of Pittsburgh, PA, in the Hill District, in 1969, “Two Trains Running” is a slice-of-life, ensemble drama by celebrated African American playwright August Wilson (1945-2005). It is part of Wilson’s 10-play Pittsburgh Cycle (aka American Century Cycle), each set in a different decade, addressing the struggles of African-American families.
