BandTogether Concert “RISE!”
BandTogether, St. Louis’ LGBT+ community band, will return to the stage after a 22 month hiatus on October 16 and celebrate the beginning of its 25th anniversary season with its free concert “RISE!”
Artistic directors Gary Reynolds and Jeff Girard lead the ensemble in a concert about overcoming obstacles and adversity. Highlights of the night will include pieces such as John Williams’ March of the Resistance, and I’m Beginning to See the Light, featuring BandTogether’s own Cindy Morris on clarinet, as well as two St. Louis premieres! My Soul to Keep and Stonewall: 1969 will feature guest vocal soloists from CHARIS and Gateway Men’s Chorus, respectively. This triumphant concert is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
For the health and safety of all concert guests, Washington University has implemented audience safety protocols for the 560 Music Center. Please check BandTogether’s website (www.bandtogetherstl.com) or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/BandTogetherSTL) for current safety protocols.
