“Baroque Selections” Orchestrating Diversity Winter Concert

Orchestrating Diversity: El Sistema St. Louis, a stand-alone social change through music education, presents a concert of Baroque music. Featured cellists Brandon Bennett ,13yo, and Justin Collins, 18yo) will perform the Vivaldi Concerto for 2 cello. The Urban Youth Orchestra will also perform a Harmoniemusik by J. C. Stumpf based on Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 , and Handel’s Water Music suite II. Beginning students in the Junior Urban Music Program will join the orchestra to perform a Minuet alla Turca.

As an El Sistema program, our mission is to encourage and support the intellectual, social, creative, and emotional growth of St. Louis youth especially those from underserved communities.
