BLACK DANCE – USA: A Celebration in Movement

Do you like to dance, move, make music, listen to some fabulous rhythmic sounds? If so, this national dance festival is for you. BLACK DANCE – USA… is a gathering of dancers, artists, and musicians from the St. Louis area and around the country in classes that give instruction on traditional West Afrikan, Dunham Technique, Afrikan Caribbean, Hip Hop, Cuban Salsa and Sacred, dance. We also have classes in Kemetic Yoga. You also have the opportunity to take classes in djembe percussion. The teachers are phenomenal. Classes are taught so that every student feels they are learning something and being challenged. Our instructors are Amaniyea Payne, Moustapha Bangoura, Keith Williams, Danny Hinds, Kati Hernandez, Dele Husbands, Rautu Harris and Clifton Robinson. Check them out on our website. This year’s concert features the Kuumba Youth Performance Ensemble, Afriky Lolo and the Best Dance Center. We’ve been doing this for 34 years straight. Come out. Join THE MOVEMENT
