Brazilian Folk Festival – Festa Junina

Viva Brasil STL invites everyone to join us this year at our 8th Annual Festa Junina celebration on Oct 1st from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kirkwood Park – Lyons Pavilion | 111 S Geyer Rd. 63122. Festa Junina takes place in June and marks the end of the summer season and the beginning of the Brazilian winter. Brazilians honor rain, the harvest season and martial union during this time. People dress up like farmers, enjoy bonfires, dance the quadrilha/square dancing, and enjoy traditional Brazilian food.

Those attending the festival will be treated to delicious typical food, will experience people dressed as farmers, enjoy bonfires and dance the Quadrilha.
