Washington University in St. Louis: The MFA Program Spring Reading Series 2019

Carmen Maria Machado’s debut short story collection, “Her Body and Other Parties”, was a finalist for the National Book Award and the Kirkus Prize, among others. Her essays, fiction, and criticism have appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, Granta, and elsewhere. She is the Writer in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Philadelphia with her wife. Kathryn Davis is the author of eight novels, the most recent of which is The Silk Road (2019). She is the senior fiction writer on the faculty of The Writing Program at Washington University.

The event is free and open to the public. Copies of the authors’ books will be available for purchase courtesy of Subterranean Books.
