Common Sound Festival

In Marquette Park, Saturday, October 5th, 2019 from 1-6pm, the 3rd annual Common Sound Festival is a fun community gathering with a focus on building relationships and celebrating the diversity of the St. Louis dance community. The Common Sound Festival is not only a means to bring the community together, but it is also a fundraiser for DSCC to pursue our mission in increasing neighborhood vitality through community empowerment, housing and real estate development in South East St. Louis City. As a place-based CDC dedicated to
advancing the vitality of the Dutchtown, Gravois Park, Marine Villa and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods, DSCC’s service area contains some of the most diverse populated neighborhoods in St. Louis. Through the festival, we encourage more unity connectedness. Dance was chosen as the central theme to highlight the universality of movement, bringing high-quality dance companies and instructors to a showcase that is accessible and enjoyable to all.
