Fashion, Art, and Traditions

Experience costumes for the Spanish Dance on a new level. As with Spanish dances themselves, the costumes are uniquely connected to the different regions and cultural experiences found in Spain. Moreover the costumes are an art form in themselves. Many of the costumes you will see are designed by Marisel Salascruz, the founder and Artistic Director of the St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society who is certified both as a professional dancer/choreographer/director and a fashion designer/professional seamstress. This presentation will be completed with a sample of dances.
