Reservations are open for Strings Attached project’s semi-annual “Ukulele for Kids” classes. The spring session will take place on Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. for 6 weeks starting April 7th. Don’t have an ukulele? That’s no problem – the project offers free loaner ukuleles during the sessions that kids can use and take home to practice ($25 refundable security deposit required.) Classes are open for kids ages 5 to 8. Space is limited. We offer 12 free spaces.

Kids learn about the history of the ukulele, ukulele basics, how to read chord charts, strumming techniques and make simple chords for songs. We also encourage kids to start singing along.

These classes are very popular and we recommend early reservations – this session is already half full.

Sponsored in-part by the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis
