Ignite Presents Bye Bye Birdie, a FREE Sensory Friendly Performance

When the draft selects rock star Conrad Birdie (Noah Drake), his fans are devastated, but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson (Aaron Drake), whose song Birdie was just about to record. Albert’s longtime girlfriend, Rosie (Krista Hartmann), pushes Albert to write a new tune that Birdie will perform on television to a randomly selected fan. The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee (Gabby Anderson) declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend.

Join Ignite Theatre Company for its 2018 premier ALL ages show for performers age 8-88 for this FREE Sensory Friendly performance of Bye Bye Birdie. This performance is an opportunity for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing difficulties to attend a live theatre event in a judgement free environment. We will be altering our seating, lights and sound to create a more friendly setting for our sensory sensitive audience members.
