A mix of personalities, artistic styles and community connections are interwoven in new collaborative works titled, “Inclusive,” now on display at St. Louis Lambert International Airport’s Terminal 1 Ticketing Lounge.
Inclusive is curated by ART-BAE.com founder Gloria Mills who worked with painters Eugenia Alexander and Jesus Roman, photographers Jessica J. Page and Steven Roach and illustrator Marcis Curtis for two collaborative pieces in separate art cases.
Both works are built on the connections of re-purposed, or reclaimed materials including famous red “St. Louis” bricks and wood. Interwoven (Curtis, Roman, Page) radiates out like the rays of the sun. Chatoyance (Curtis, Alexander, Roach), is built on the same bed of red bricks, is more pointed (in all directions) with its jetting pieces made of scrap wood and metal. On the reverse side, the piece frames another view of the St. Louis Arch, this one at night.
