Inspired By, a Chamber Project St. Louis Concert

Presented as part of the St. Louis Sound exhibit we showcase chamber music connected to St. Louis! Born and raised in St. Louis, Washington University graduate Olly Wilson played a pivotal role in establishing the use of electronics composing and performing music. American legend, William Grant Still has a fun connection to St. Louis, and you can hear reflections of musical culture of St. Louis in his work for woodwind quintet. Valerie Coleman celebrates St. Louis native Josephine Baker in her evocative, jazzy suite.
