JULY SHOW AT THE GALLERY OF U. CITY LIBRARY FEATURES PHOTOGRAPHY BY CAROLINE PHILIPPONE

This July, the Gallery at University City Public Library (6701 Delmar Blvd, 63130) will feature “On Trails.” This photography exhibit focuses on hiking trails close to the Saint Louis region, and that are within the Missouri State Parks system to help celebrate its recent centennial celebration. Fine Art Photographer Caroline Philippone captured the trails using both the traditional silver gelatin process and it’s the modern digital counterpart. Visitors of the exhibit will be able to see maps of each trail documented and will be able to see estimated hiking times for each trail.

A reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 6, with artist talk at 7 p.m. The work will be on display July 2 through 28 and may be viewed during normal library hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The library will be closed Wednesday, July 4 for Independence Day. Exhibits in The Gallery are made possible in part by a grant from the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.
