In honor of Juneteenth, the Missouri Botanical Garden will offer special activities, all included with general admission.
Visitors are invited to explore the George Washington Carver Garden and watch a cooking demonstration by chef Lavinia McCoy of Gourmet Soul.
The Garden will also share an interpretive visitor guide, which highlights significant contributions of African Americans to advance botanical science throughout history, and experts from the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House will be on-site from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to highlight Black individuals who have made an impact in the field of entomology.
