Karlovsky & Company Dance: SHIFTING TIME

SHIFTING TIME
March 29 and 30, 2019
The Grandel Theatre

SHIFTING TIME is an evening-length dance-theater work exploring thoughts, perceptions, and experiences of human and environmental time. Conceived by Dawn Karlovsky, Artistic Director of Karlovsky & Company Dance, this concert features original choreography by Karlovsky and guest collaborator Megan Nicely, Artistic Director of Bay Area-based Megan Nicely/Dance. SHIFTING TIME offers new perspectives on dance through the incorporation of post-modern and Japanese butoh influences, creating striking theatrical images that awaken memories and pose questions for our future. SHIFTING TIME includes original sound scores by St. Louis musician, Tory Starbuck.
Directed by Dawn Karlovsky and Megan Nicely.

Support for this event is made possible by the Missouri Arts Council – a state agency, the Regional Arts Commission, the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, The Grandel Theatre, and private donors.
