Hyonjeong Kim Han, associate curator of Korean art, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco
Since the 1980s, Korea’s distinctive art scene has established a strong position in the international art world. This talk will survey the contemporary art scene in Korea over the past 40 years, examining works by representative artists of various mediums and genres. The talk will conclude with a discussion about the influence of traditional and contemporary art on K-pop culture. Presented in partnership with the Gateway Korea Foundation.
