L’italiana in Algeri

L’italiana in Algeri or The Italian Girl in Algiers is an operatic dramma giocoso in two acts by composer Gioachino Rossini.

Isabella is shipwrecked while searching for her lost lover, Lindoro who has been captured by Mustafà, the Bey of Algiers. Isabella finds herself cast ashore near the palace of Mustafà, who becomes smitten with her.
