Martin Lang: Jalousie Window

Martin Lang’s exhibition Jalousie Windows opens at Cecille R. Hunt Gallery, Friday September 22nd 5:30-8:00pm. Lang’s work stems from his statement that expands on Richard Hamilton’s famous 1956 collage to read “just what is it that makes today’s world so different, so appealing?” His works address objects, symbols, and trends in contemporary life in a very restrained manner evoking High Modernist aesthetics. Martin Lang has exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently at University of Dallas. Lang is assistant professor of art at Columbia College in South Carolina, he received his BFA at Webster University and MFA at the University of Tennessee.

Exhibition runs from September 22nd to October 21, 2023
