MIllet and His Modernity: From Van Gogh to Dali

Simon Kelly, curator of modern and contemporary art. In conjunction with the exhibition Millet and Modern Art: From Van Gogh to Dalí, this lecture looks at why Jean-François Millet’s work was seen as groundbreaking, both during his lifetime and in the decades following his death. It explores the international range of artists, including Van Gogh, Pissarro, Homer, and Dalí, who were deeply impacted by Millet’s work.
