Off the Block Print Exhibition

June 3 – 18, 2022

The Foundry Art Centre is pleased to announce the opening of Off the Block, a curated and juried print exhibition featuring prints of all types from across the country by print makers and print collectives, juried by master printers at Grafik House USA, a traditional printmaking studio in Downtown St. Louis. Artwork from Grafik House USA and the Foundry’s 2021 and 2022 Block Party artists will be showcased alongside the juried works.

Off the Block will take place June 3 – 18, 2022, with an opening reception on Friday, June 3rd, 5-8pm. Live music by Richie Darling, free print-themed art activities for all ages, a cash bar, and more will be included along with the reception. This exhibition will kick off the Foundry’s month-long programming of all things PRINTMAKING, culminating in the 2nd Annual Block Party on June 11th – our community event featuring steamroller printing!

Block Party artists are Eugenia Alexander; Ben Bradshaw; Tate Foley/Webster University Department of Art, Design, and Art History; Grafik House USA; Charles Houska; Samantha Mendoza;, Mike Pennekamp; Edo Rosenblith; and Janie Stamm.

Participating juried artists are Brandin Barón, Lexi Baver, Keith Buswell, Michayla Edington, Ahmed Eldarrat, Jessica Gross, Patricia Henney, Aleida Hertel, Matthew Kanne, Alexis Kurtzman, Brian Lathan, McKie Martin, Metra Mitchell, Noemi Oyarzabal, Jamie Richter, Joanne Stremsterfer, and Lucas Watkins.
