A sizzling lineup of musicians has been assembled for one incredible day of music at the Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival, scheduled for September 21, 2019. The annual event has become recognized as one of the region’s best places to enjoy the authentic sound of St. Louis.
The festival was launched ten years ago with an electrifying set by native bluesman Johnnie Johnson, who passed away in 2005. Since then hundreds of musicians have performed some of the best jazz and blues music you’ll hear in St. Louis.
“We are excited to continue spotlighting St. Louis’ musical treasures. This kind of music is best enjoyed live, and with local festivals becoming more rare, the fans have fewer opportunities to see it,” said Brian Ward, musical director for the festival. “Webster Groves is the perfect setting for a fun, family festival. This and our ability to get great musicians each year have been the keys to our success.”
