Join the Art Collaborative as they explore iconic artworks by celebrated national and international artists as part of Washington University’s Art on Campus program.
Participants will learn about the significance of public artwork and how it invites us to tune into our surroundings, heightening awareness of how we think, feel and act in the spaces through which we move.
On view is work by renowned artists, including Jacques Lipchitz, Pierre-Auguste-Renoir, Alexander Calder, Auguste Rodin, Dan Peterman and Katharina Grosse.
Using a variety of media, the works shown range from stand-alone sculptures to architectural installations that engage with the social and physical contexts of their sites. Reflecting the diversity, creativity and scholarship of the university, these artworks are chosen for their aesthetic distinction, historical significance and collective expression.
