Rachel Whiteread

One of the world’s leading contemporary artists, British sculptor Rachel Whiteread creates evocative sculptures of the interior and hidden spaces of buildings, everyday objects, and furniture. Using industrial materials and beautiful colors, Whiteread transforms the ordinary and unseen – the underside of a chair, the contents of a medicine cabinet, or the inside of a garden shed – into works that are enduring, striking, and impossible to ignore, changing the way the world thinks about sculpture. The exhibition will also include sketches and preparatory drawings that illuminate Whiteread’s complex casting process.

Don’t miss Rachel Whiteread, the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s practice, bringing together over 90 artworks from her early career to the present. The exhibition previously has been shown in London, Vienna, and Washington, DC.
