River Styx Reading Series

The River Styx Reading Series spotlights nationally recognized authors in the new High Low Literary Arts venue at Grand Center. March 16th will feature Martin Riker, Jenny Molberg, and Carl Phillips.

Riker’s novel, Samuel Johnson’s Eternal Return, was published in October of 2018. Reviews have appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly.

Molberg is the author of Marvels of the Invisible (winner of the Berkshire Prize) and Refusal: Poems. She coedited the Unsung Masters Series collection Adelaide Crapsey: On the Life & Work of an American Master. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Ploughshares, Gulf Coast, The Missouri Review, Poetry International, Boulevard, Copper Nickel, Best New Poets, and other publications.

Phillips is the author of 14 books of poetry, most recently Wild Is the Wind. His prose books are The Art of Daring: Risk, Restlessness, Imagination and Coin of the Realm: Essays on the Life and Art of Poetry.
