Sensory-Friendly Family Day at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House

Help the Butterfly House celebrate its Silver Anniversary and meet some award-winning bug superstars at our Sensory-Friendly Family Day at the Butterfly House! Mingle with free-flying butterflies in the Tropical Conservatory, engage in hands-on learning at the Lopata Learning Lab, and catch a glimpse of local bug celebrities in the Native Butterfly Garden – all without leaving Missouri!

Our sensory-friendly family events are designed to let people of all ages and abilities with sensory-processing needs experience local landmarks in a more sensory-friendly environment. Attendees will have exclusive access to this local gem, with activities and spaces curated with Easterseals families in mind. Trained Easterseals staff will also be on-site to assist parents or guardians with any needs.
