William Bauer leads the Confluence Chamber Orchestra in music composed over the last two centuries, including a concerto grosso by dall’Abaco, Bach’s beautiful Arioso, highlights from Prokoviev’s Romeo and Juliet, the lovely Romance by Shostakovitch from his film score for The Gadfly, as well as modern pieces with an Eastern European flavor by Gorecki and Zempleni. The orchestra’s student interns are featured as soloists.
The audience is invited to a reception following the concert.
