Star-Spangled Symphonies

DaySpring Arts & Education presents
Star-Spangled Symphonies

A Celebration of American Ballet
Performances from Stars and Stripes, Rodeo, and Joplin Suite featuring live music!

Star-Spangled Symphonies is a mixed-bill production including three American-themed ballets, highlighting the versatility of our dance students as we pay tribute to some of the most notable composers and choreographers of our nation. This evening will be led by the powerful marches of John Phillip Sousa, dynamic arrangements of Aaron Copland, and a live instrumental suite of Scott Joplin’s infamous tunes. This family-friendly production will leave you marching away with our flag held high!

Brought to you by the students of DaySpring’s Dance Department in collaboration with our Music Department.

Choreographed by Claire Ward, Mary Clermont, and Amber Studebaker after George Balanchine and Agnes de Mille.
