Suites, Spirituals and Dances

Celebrating Black History Month with some delightful music.

Joseph Boulogne- Sonata for Harp and Flute

George Walker- Lyric for Strings

William Grant Still- Suite for Violin and Piano

S. Coleridge-Taylor- The Bamboula, Op. 59 No. 8

Joplin- Elite Syncopations, Binks’ Waltz, The Rosebud March and The Entertainer

Jose White- La Bella Cubana

Florence Price- Quintet in A Minor for Piano and Strings (4th mvt. Scherzo)

The February 28 performance will be audio and video recorded for the virtual presentation March 8 at 9:00 a.m..

Performances are presented in the Sheldon Concert Hall, with socially distanced seating.

2021-22 Season programs are being presented in front of a live audience, and virtually.
