University City Summer Band

The University City Summer Band is a concert band with the thrilling sound of scores of woodwinds, brass and percussion playing together under the leadership of our new music director, Danny Lewis. The band’s repertoire includes marches, show tunes, jazz, original pieces for band, light classics, patriotic selections, popular music and transcriptions – we guarantee something for everyone from young children to senior citizens. Seating is on the lawn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket as available bench seating is limited. Bring your children! Bring a picnic!

All six concerts are performed from 7 pm to 8:15 pm on Tuesday evenings in Heman Park, University City, MO (a fully handicapped-accessible venue). Concert dates are June 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18, 25. The program includes a brief intermission, for audience and band members to interact, get concessions, and socialize.
