University City Symphony Orchestra: Celebrating Local Talent

We bring the UCSO 2018-2019 Season, “The Year of the Piano,” to a spectacular close with performances by the Schatzkamer Young Artists Competition winner and finalists, and also premieres by St. Louis composer Stephen E. Jones. We invite you to come and experience what makes the UCSO “The World’s Most Adventurous Community Orchestra” for yourself!

Join Maestro Leon Burke III for a pre-concert talk at 2:15pm to discuss each work in greater detail. Audience members are encouraged to come early and participate in this lively and informative conversation.

The concert is FREE and open to the public.

“Light Cavalry” Overture by Franz von Suppé
Selections from “West Side Story” by Leonard Bernstein
Works by St. Louis Composer Stephen E. Jones

The Winner of the Shatzkamer Young Artist Competition will be a featured soloist; details TBA.
