Learn the log-cabin technique to reuse vintage + reclaimed fabric to construct a unique geometric quilt top.
In the 1st session, we will learn how to plan out your color scheme, cut fabric, + begin sewing your quilt top from the center of your quilt with a straight stitch. By the 2nd session the quilt tops will be finished + the class will learn how to choose the correct batting for the inside of the quilt + back the quilt with a large piece of fabric. With the quilting completed by the 3rd session, the class will learn how to make their own edging tape to give their quilt a finished look. Participants must supply their own batting. A variety of fabric will be available, but feel free to bring in bedsheets, jeans, etc. from home.
Participants will need to use some time outside of the class to complete steps of the quilt.
Please note, this three-day workshop takes place on the following Thursdays: July 13, July 20, and July 27 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm each evening.
