Join us via Zoom for a virtual discussion of Michael Pollan’s latest book, Caffeine! Inspired by the coffeehouses during the Age of Enlightenment as featured in Dare to Know: Chess in the Age of Reason, Pollan’s writing covers the history of caffeine and how it has shaped history as we know it. Stimulating and informational, Pollan’s latest work will surely change how you look at your morning cup of coffee.

American author, activist, and journalist, Michael Pollan, writes on the intersections of nature and culture: whether it be on our plates, in our gardens or farms, or in our minds. He’s well known for his food science writings including book titles The Botany of Desire, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, and In Defense of Food, which has been adapted into a PBS documentary series, and has consulted on and starred in various food documentaries.
