The World Chess Hall of Fame will present three extraordinary pieces of music by the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis on July 27.
The performance will include a work by Schubert that was written for only four instruments but has the intensity of an orchestral composition, music by Frank Bridge with hints of a familiar Irish melody and a work by Mozart that contains some of the most sublime music for clarinet ever written.
The Chamber Music Society of St. Louis musicians who will perform are Tzuying Huang on clarinet, Angie Smart and Jessie Chen on violin, Susan Gordon on viola and Marian Drake on cello.
There will be an artist talk at 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m.
