This burgeoning St. Louis neighborhood is easily one of the city’s most eclectic. The Grove features a vibrant nightlife, is home to numerous community and cultural non-profits and boasts an array of street murals and other eye-catching public art — such as the distinctive “The Grove” neon signs that welcome visitors to this mid-city district.
The Grove is particularly known for its LGBT-friendly bars and restaurants and its music and concert venues such as the Ready Room and Atomic Cowboy. The Grove also plays host to numerous festivals throughout the year, including the Riverfront Times Music Showcase, Grove Fest, IndiHop and more. Artists will want to pay close attention to the neighborhood’s fashion boutiques, throwback tattoo parlors and White Flag Projects, a gallery known for its avant-garde exhibits.
