Interim Executive Director
Celia L. Hosler joined the Regional Art Commission (RAC) as interim executive director in 2019. She brings with her experience in strategic planning, capacity building, budgeting, project financing, board development, and executive coaching, especially in the arts, social services, healthcare, and education.
Hosler has spent her entire career working in the non-profit field. As an investment banker, she specialized in financing for long-term care facilities, hospitals, private schools, and higher educational institutions. As a result, she was actively engaged with board members and senior staff when they made critical decisions regarding expansion, long-term financing needs, and financial modeling. Clients during these 17 years included St. Andrew’s Episcopal-Presbyterian Foundation, St. Louis University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and Washington University.
Most recently, Hosler has been a consultant to small and medium not-for-profit organizations. She worked with STAGES ST. LOUIS, Miriam Foundation, Holocaust Museum and Learning Center, Camp Rainbow Foundation, Saint Louis Children’s Choir, and Starkloff Disability Institute — to name a few. She has helped in the strategic development of these organizations. Hosler is very proud of her work in assisting her clients with achieving their long-term goals.
From 1999 to 2003, Hosler was the chief operating officer and the chief financial officer for the Center of Contemporary Arts (COCA). During her tenure, she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the multidisciplinary arts center.
Hosler graduated from Washington University with an MBA and Yale University, where she studied mathematics and economics.
