Father Anthony Brankin

In 1975, Father Anthony Brankin was ordained as a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago after receiving a Licentiate in Sacred Theology. He spent six years as an associate pastor at Our Lady of Charity Church in Cicero, Illinois before travelling to Rome, where he simultaneously pursued doctoral studies in theology at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas and painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. Upon his return to Chicago in 1983, Brankin served as a pastor at both St. Thomas More Parish on the South Side and St. Odilo Parish in Berwyn. From 1983-1985, he also served as vice president of the Catholic Church Extension Society. His preferred mediums are drawing and sculpture, although he also cites music as one of his major passions.
