Seeking Professionals Passionate About the Arts.
We began our journey of supporting artists and arts and cultural organizations in the St. Louis area more than thirty years ago with the understanding that art advances and strengthens our community. We believe that arts and culture are deeply interwoven into the fabric of St. Louis life and economy and can be essential in strengthening civic life, cultural vitality, cultural and racial equity, and economic prosperity. We support talented and imaginative individuals in reaching their goals that benefit the entire region.
RAC is positioning itself to be a “best place to work” in the St. Louis region and beyond. With community, culture, and connection as the rhythms of our approach to grantmaking, programming, and organizational identity, we are striving to embody an ongoing professional cycle of five working ideals: trust, collaboration, safety, innovation, and value.
Imagine a working culture where you are trusted by your manager and colleagues, not to be micromanaged or unconstructively criticized, but to live and lean into your geniuses because you understand your priorities within the impact we are aiming to have in the community. In pursuit of those priorities, everyone around you is reaching out with an open-ended invitation to collaborate through deep listening, meaningful questions, shared workstreams, and recommended resources that only enhances your effectiveness. As you make progress toward the aim you are pursuing, you feel a profound sense of emotional and psychological safety to ask the hard questions, have the difficult conversations, and set the needed boundaries with those around you. Through those questions and conversations, ideas begin to flow that transcend the normal and typical way of doing things, inspiring you to innovate in the name of impact! And, as you realize the impact you’ve made in community, through the full weight of your talents and contributions, you are recognized and valued by the team!
To successfully execute our mission, we hire adept employees who value passion, performance, and productivity. RAC focuses on hiring great people who are committed to the potential the arts have as a vital agent for social change and community transformation in St. Louis.
