NEW IN 2024

Our approach to grantmaking is rooted in our values. We strive for equity, transparency, and to be responsive to the needs voiced by the community we serve. Accessibility and accountability have guided some important updates to our process in 2024, which we are excited to share with you here.

NEW TO ARTIST SUPPORT GRANTS

  • We are returning to two (2) grant cycles during the year for individual artists – one in the spring (applications will open February 2024) and the other in fall (applications will open July 2024). Artists are invited to apply for either but can only receive funding from one cycle. If an artist applies during the spring but does not receive funding, they may apply again in the fall.
  • Graduate students are now eligible to submit an application for artist support.
  • Eligibility requirements regarding the age of individual artists have changed. Artists 18 years or older are now eligible to apply. This has been lowered from the previous requirement, which was 19 years of age or older.
  • Artists can now apply as a Single Member LLC.

NEW TO ORGANIZATIONAL GRANTS

  • All grants for arts and culture nonprofit organizations will be classified as unrestricted funding.
  • Universities are now eligible to submit an application for program support.

POPULAR ASPECTS THAT ARE STAYING THE SAME

Like last year, artists and organizations will have the opportunity to plan ahead as we will again publish detailed guidelines prior to opening applications. Also returning in 2024 will be free workshops accessible to all with the purpose of strengthening your grant submission. Please Note: We strongly suggest reading the application guidelines carefully and taking advantage of the workshops – we anticipate a highly competitive grants cycle and the amount of available funding will likely not be sufficient to fund all eligible applications.
