About
This modernistic work is both a sculpture and an educational tool. The earth’s globe is depicted showing the continents through carved-out, softly sandblasted spaces, the oceans in highly polished, glossy finishes, and the hemispheres through delicately carved and black-inlaid lines. The gray granite globe itself is timeless, while the pink abstract base clearly reflects its 1950s origins.
