Artist Bio:
Lindsay has been making sculpture for 30 years. He started as a traditional sculptor’s apprentice under Daniel Lowery. He then attended the Art Institute in Kansas City working in clay and graduated with a BFA from Southern Illinois University working with Thomas Walsh in the foundry department.
He was a visiting artist the summer of 1984 in Chatillion Sur Seine, France, where he learned granite carving, which has been a passion of his ever since. He is now exploring the use of a fiberglass element in his new public piece for Grand Rapids, Michigan.
