About the artist:
American painter Ron Fondaw presented his first one person show at the age of eleven in Paducah, KY. He received his MFA from the University of Illinois, and shortly after moved to Miami, Florida, where he developed a passion for color. His work encompasses a wide variety of mediums, including drawing, sculpture, and metal work. He has taught at both the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Washington University in St. Louis, and has also lectured in Japan and Denmark. He has received a Guggenheim award for sculpture, a National Endowment for the Arts Award, and a Pollack/Krasner award.
